TRON (TRX)–With TRON’s Test Net set to go live in less than 24 hours, TRX is about to experience its most significant improvement since joining the cryptocurrency market in September 2017. It has not been an easy ride for TRON, having weathered a storm of FUD through most of this year after falling from 0.30 USD all the way to 0.023 USD. The detractors still persist, but with the tireless effort of founder Justin Sun and the TRON Foundation, TRX is slowly carving out a place for itself in the list of cryptocurrencies that can manage to have relevance in a post price-speculation industry.

TRON Gaming Integration

The goal for TRON is not to build another cryptocurrency used for transactions, similar to how Bitcoin is attempting to disrupt global fiat usage, but to establish an entertainment platform that seamlessly integrates cryptocurrency. Transacting with the currency TRX is just one small feature in the grand scheme of this platform, and can function equally as a sort of key for distribution, as opposed to a sole monetary tender.

With the increased utility of TRX on Main Net, TRON is going to have immediate function as a top-ten currency in terms of usability. TRX transactions will essentially become free, with the network capable of handling over 1000 tx per second. With the reliability of TRX in place, the TRON network is capable of scaling to meet the requirements of something like a gaming platform. Justin Sun and the TRON Foundation have already managed to establish a strong partnership with Game.com’s Xu Le, a CEO committed to growing cryptocurrency and blockchain implementation in the gaming industry. The clear path forward for TRON following the Main Net launch is to begin integrating TRX and TRON’s network with gaming systems. TRON Dogs, while a copycat of the Ethereum mainstay Crypto Kitties, provides an example for the possibilities of TRX in gaming and a simplistic blueprint for future developers.

In order for TRON, as both a platform and technology, to reach exponential adoption, it requires the input of widespread tinkering. Whether in the form of amateur developers, hobbyists, or professional game designers, TRON’s integration into gaming will launch off the back of efforts by the community and those inspired by the project to create novel implementations. The websites Medium and Quora have established themselves as social media mixing with the expertise and information seeking of a Wikipedia. TRON could have a similar effect with entertainment or commerce, creating a platform for publication and distribution that combines monetary compensation with the already established appeal of social media. Large scale influencers on Instagram could be incentivized for their opinions, photos or ability to cultivate followings through direct TRX benefits on TRON’s platform.

Some in the industry of cryptocurrency are going to always view TRON as a failure unless it is able to overtake Facebook or Twitter in terms of volume usage. In realistic terms, TRON would be an overwhelming success if it was able to meet the milestones outlined in the project criteria: disruption of the entertainment industry and further integration of cryptocurrency into society.
