FashionTV (FTV) Joins The Blockchain Revolution

FashionTV makes its debut into the crypto space with new blockchain app and FTV Coin Deluxe for models and affluent individuals.

Are you familiar with the dominating industry of high-end tailoring? I’ll be honest – me neither, but one thing I know for sure: FashionTV is definitely on the top of the hill when it comes to…well…the word speaks for itself…fashion.

When I was young, raised in Greece, we had no internet until the mid 90’s (yes, shame on us), and even then, we had to wait like 10 years before it got mainstream. (double shame here) – So how did we entertain ourselves? – TV. Not just regular Greek TV, because obviously, that was boring (and still is), but cable TV and satellite TV networks could make us happy for a moment having Nickelodeon, MTV, and yes FashionTV to make it up for the Greek cheap tv programmes.

According to the now multi-billion international fashion firm and television channel FashionTV, FTV Coin Deluxe holders will gain exclusive access to everything they’ve ever seen on FashionTV including private parties, VIP events, fashion shows, yachts, and everything in between through the blockchain-based marketplace.

The fashion and lifestyle broadcasting station that has reached over 1 billion people around the globe, recently announced its debut in the blockchain space to elevate the fashion industry to a whole new level.

FashionTV‘s decentralized platform will empower upcoming models with new ways of getting into the scene and will eliminate the need for intermediaries, such as talent agencies, that currently hold most of the industry’s power.

For a candidate new model just starting out, finding a way into the fashion business can be extremely difficult and a complex procedure. Talent agencies may not keep their contractual obligations or charge extremely high commission fees that in some cases may exceed 25%. Networking with the right people and finding sponsors is challenging at least if not impossible in some cases.

FashionTV strives to help models and other industry newcomers break through these harsh barriers and empower them with new ways of monetization while as prementioned, eliminating the need for intermediaries, such as talent agencies – all enabled with blockchain technology.  Utilizing smart contracts and the FTV Coin Deluxe, models will finally get a fair chance at making it to the heart of the scene.

The technology behind the platform will ensure transparency in the industry, making sure that compensation for work reaches each model on time with minimum commissions and deductions paid in fashion’s first native currency FTC Coin Deluxe.

FashionTV’s platform will display a track record of contractual obligations from agencies and other employers, resulting in better work conditions. You could easily see which model worked where, with whom, for what price and more following the data stored with the help of distributed ledger technology.

In addition to models, photographers, sponsors, designers, and the millions of others employed in the fashion industry will be able to make transactions using the FTV Coin Deluxe.

Using the F Wallet, models are able to:

  • Arm themselves with an electronic business card, FashionTV email address, and QR code.
  • Compete with the best of the best in modeling competitions
  • Tighten up a highly involved community by  directly interacting with sponsors
  • Cash in FTV tokens for luxury goods and services which are all purchasable in the exclusive FashionTV e-commerce marketplace

In addition to assisting models, FashionTV has been promoting luxury goods and services for over twenty years and definitely knows how to treat its community. From its luxury hardware wallet, members can securely store private keys for exchanging the FTV Coin Deluxe. Each coin gives members unprecedented access to:

  • Exclusive discounts and offers on luxurious cruises, exclusive entry to fashion shows and FashionTV parties, phones, yachts, watches, jewelry, high-end fashion brands and designers, cosmetics, lingerie, and high-end furniture, to name a few – through the FashionTV marketplace.
  • Access to vote on virtual and real model contests as well as a chance to sponsor models via the F wallet
  • A private concierge that will arrange for deductions on exclusive locations and stores and notify members of events including parties, red carpet events, fashion shows (including Victoria’s Secret shows), model contests, and more.

“The crypto community is no longer only for geeky tech enthusiasts,” says Michel Lisowski, Founder, and President of FashionTV. “It’s becoming mainstream, and coupled with our dominating presence in the fashion industry for more than 20 years, we are bringing extravagance and luxury to the blockchain. People love beautiful women, but even more so, they love beautiful opportunities. Cryptocurrency gave us the power to merge these together and offer a decentralized way to level the playing field in arguably one of the most competitive and crowded spaces in the world.”

What you guys think of FashionTV’s move to enter the blockchain scene and specifically the cryptocurrency area? Is it a good move that will attract more mainstream crowd into the sector or not? Let me know in the comments below.
